What we carry
Building materials are heavy, awkward and easy to damage. Every load leaves the yard chocked, strapped and sheeted, and it gets put down where the crew actually needs it rather than wherever the truck happens to stop.
Steel and reinforcement
Bar, mesh, purlins, lintels and structural sections. Heavy, unforgiving loads that need proper restraint and a driver who understands weight distribution.
Brick, block and pavers
Banded packs moved without chipping the faces, placed close to the bricklayers so the barrow run is short.
Trusses and prefabricated frames
Long, awkward and easy to twist. Loaded flat, restrained across the span and unloaded straight onto the slab or the stack.
Palletised building supplies
Plasterboard, lining, insulation, roof tiles, fixings and everything else that arrives on a pallet and has to stay on it.

F & H Distributions started in 2016 moving building materials for a short list of builders who were tired of loads turning up late, short or damaged. That list grew the way it should have, by word of mouth from sites where the delivery arrived when it was promised.
The work has never been advertised. It has been earned, one docket at a time, and the same standard applies to a single pallet as it does to a full load.

F & H Distributions is a building materials transport business, not a general courier. Everything below is work we do week in and week out, with gear and restraint suited to the load rather than whatever happened to be free.
Timber and framing deliveries
Framing packs, joists, bearers, LVL, dressed timber and sheet flooring. Loaded so the pack the crew opens first is the pack that comes off first, and sheeted against the weather on every run.

Heavy, dense and easy to chip. Packs stay banded, get placed close to the work so the barrow run is short, and the driver checks the ground before setting anything down.

Long, flexible and easy to twist out of true. Carried flat, restrained across the span, and timed to land when there is somewhere to put them rather than a week before the slab is ready.

F & H Distributions was established in 2016 to do one thing properly: get building materials from the supplier to the site, intact and on time.
The business started small, with a short list of builders who were tired of loads arriving late, short or damaged, and tired of chasing someone who would not answer the phone. Doing the opposite of that turned out to be the whole business plan.
Since then the work has come almost entirely by referral. A site foreman moves to a new builder and calls us. A supplier recommends us because our drivers do not hold up their loading dock. That is a slower way to grow a transport business, and it is the reason the standard has never slipped.
Today F & H Distributions runs building materials across Sydney and New South Wales for residential builders, commercial contractors, trade suppliers and yards. The business is owner operated, which means the person who quotes your job is the person accountable for it landing correctly.
The load arrives
A delivery window is a commitment, not an estimate. If something on the road changes it, you hear about it from us before you hear about it from the site.
The gear suits the job
Trusses, reo and brick packs do not travel the same way. Restraint, sheeting and placement are matched to the material rather than to whatever is quickest to load.
